Trick or Treat

The date was October 31st, we all know this day as Halloween. A day that is looked forward to by kids of all ages and this stands true for Ash Ketchum of Pallet town. He had gotten himself so excited about tonight that somehow he forgot to get himself a costume. He and Pikachu were now checking out all the local shops in Pallet town. To Ash's despair, all Pokémon costumes were sold out. He did have his heart set on going as a Pikachu, since Pikachu was going to dress as him. The two now perched outside a mask shop, with his shopping a bust Ash was upset and ready to go home. At that moment the shop keeper steps out and invites Ash inside.
"I may not have any costumes, but I do have some really good masks you could wear." The shop keeper told him. Ash perked up a little and entered the shop. In here, he saw walls just full of different Pokémon masks. He browsed through them all.
"Celebi, Oshawott, Mareep, oh a Pikachu one!" He said as he scanned the collection. Having spotted the mask he wanted, he walked over and was about to pull it from the wall when something caught his eye. It was a Charizard mask, Ash didn't know what, but something about this it was just asking him to buy it. The boy put on a grin as he grabbed both masks, paid for them and left the shop. On the walk home, Ash tried on his new face gear as Pikachu walked beside him. He tried on his Pikachu mask first and tried to do an impression of Pikachu. Pikachu laughed at his trainer, he made an awful Pikachu. Ash then passed his hat to his partner. "Let's see your human impression then." Pikachu popped the hat on his head and started shouting out commands like Ash would. As the two laughed Ash replaced his Pikachu mask for the Charizard one. "Let's see if my Charizard is as good as Pikachu?" Ash cleared his throat and let a huge roar, he was amazingly realistic. The yellow rodent applauded him, but Ash paid no attention to this as he was more concerned with the unbearable pain in his head. He tried his hardest to remove the mask from his face but it would not budge. As Ash struggled with the mask, his skin turned orange and two horns grew out of the back of his head. His legs grew weak, and he could feel his arms growing in size. Ash watched as his fingers merged together to form sharp claws. A long snout grew out from Ash's face, and with it, a new set of fangs. A long tail emerged from the base of Ash's spine, the tail then burst into flame at the tip. He crouched down on the floor, pain surging through his body, rendering him unable to move. Pikachu watched as finally, his best friend grew two orange and blue wings from out of his back and his neck grew thicker and longer. Once everything was fully formed Ash fell flat to the ground, although you wouldn't believe it was Ash, if you saw him. His body had been completely transformed into a Charizard, his clothes were now all torn and lay on ground as rags. Pikachu tried to wake Ash up by slapping his a little and fanning him with his hat, Pikachu avoided using any attacked on him, he knew that a Charizard's health could be told by the flame on its tail, and from the looks of Ash's new flame, he was very weak right now.  It took some time, all the way till dusk, but Ash finally awoke.

As he got to his feet Ash examined his new body.
"I...I'm a Charziard, but how?" He asked Pikachu. Pikachu had had a long time to think about it and he started to explain his idea to Ash.
"I think it was the mask. After you put it on, it seemed to have taken over your body, causing it transform into a Charizard, the same image that the mask held."
"So it was mask, let's go visit that mask shop and ask the shop owner." So Pikachu hopped onto Ash's back and Ash flew off into the sky, as if he had been flying for years.  The two landed outside the shop, only to find that it was closed for the night. "Oh no, I guess I'm stuck like till morning."
"On the plus side it's a great costume, I bet we get loads of goodies."
"That's a great idea buddy!" Ash stopped and thought for a moment. "How long have you been able to talk human-talk?"
"I think you can understand me because you are now part-Pokémon." Pikachu gave him a smile. "I like it better this way, I like being able to talk to you." Ash and Pikachu went back home and grabbed the rest of Pikachu's costume (a miniature version of Ash's jacket plus gloves) and some bags for the sweets, and left before being spotted. The two then headed door to door, amazing everyone with Ash's "costume".  After such a busy night, Ash and Pikachu decided to head out of Pallet town to enjoy the spoils of the night. They got to a safe area in which no one could see Ash take flight. After all, if people knew he was a real Charizard, they might take everything back. Ash opened his wings and took off into the night sky, as he and Pikachu soared over head, they could see Pallet town aglow with jack-o-lanterns.
"The town looks so pretty." Ash said flying up higher towards a hill top. The two sat atop the hill and stared out at the stars as they stuffed their faces with junk. "Being a Charizard is cool and all, but I do miss my human body."
"Don't worry so much about it! We will go to the mask shop tomorrow and solve everything. Now, for something really important: can I roast my marshmallows on your tail flame?" Asked the chocolate faced Pokémon.
"Sure, go ahead." So the two of them spent the night eating nothing but candies and chocolate, until, they fell asleep from a sugar crash.
